Montessori-Inspired Halloween Shelf Tour

Do you know how to make a witch itch?

You take away the w!

Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year. The beautiful crisp color changing leaves, the cool and cozy weather, the smell of bonfires, and so much more. I feel like I always get more in tune with nature in the fall and it genuinely makes me a happier person as a result.

I originally was planning our fall unit for October, when I stumbled into Target and found myself in the Dollar Spot section (still not sure how that happens every single time). They had the most adorable little Halloween decor that swooped me in and here we are…

Mini Cauldrons are from Menards

These little crows came in a pack of 100 for only $3 in Target’s Dollar Spot!! The little cloth pumpkins and the glass bone powder potion jar on the kids’ kitchen were a buck a piece also in Target’s Dollar Spot. — How could I not, right?

So once I got home and started putting away whatever fall activities I had originally planned, I started digging for free Halloween learning activities and printables. This Halloween-Inspired Montessori Unit took nearly a week of planning… longer than any other unit. I had to really dig to find things and to fill up our shelves, hang the decor, piece together activities and fill our sensory bins.

Here is Millie’s shelf (age:2)! This is the IKEA TV Stand that’s actually the perfect height for Millie. Although all shelves are free for all kids to play, she knows already that this shelf will have her favorites and all the activities she can complete on her own (or with little guidance).

I decided to add the crows to this wall as well since we had so many left over. Did I mention they came in a pack of 100?! The frames above are all from the Dollar Tree and I found the Halloween Wall Art Free Printables HERE!
